The addition of the Rathbride Stakes to the card at Gowran Park brings a bit of quality to proceedings and Goldana is fancied to land the Group Three prize for Joseph O’Brien.

This nine-furlong contest was rescued from the abandoned card at the Curragh last Sunday and has attracted a few more runners now.

Goldana takes a drop in class having been far from disgraced in Group One company in the Pretty Polly Stakes on her last outing.

She finished sixth behind Via Sistina in top level company then having also been fourth in a Group Two at the Curragh on her previous outing.

Both those runs came on better ground and she should appreciate more cut now having won in testing conditions on her first outing for O’Brien this year.

That came in the Gladness Stakes at the Curragh and she did well to win over seven then.

This nine-furlong trip looks more suitable for the daughter of Galileo Gold, who won a listed race over this distance in Germany.

Conditions look perfect for her now and the four-year-old can add another Group Three to her CV this afternoon.

Another filly who should handle this ground is the Paddy Twomey-trained Moon De Vega.

She has won both starts since joining the Tipperary handler, the latest a listed prize at Leopardstown over this trip.

This looks a natural next step for her and she had winning form on soft ground as a juvenile.

Of the younger generation, Village Voice is probably the pick and she should also appreciate this going.

The Zarak filly made little impression at Royal Ascot on her last outing but had landed a listed race on soft ground at Navan back in April.

In the concluding nine-furlong conditions race, there are also a couple of stakes level performers on show.

Didn’thavemuchtodo would appear to be the one to beat at the weights, with her fillies’ allowance.

The Highland Reel filly ran well on her return at Navan last month when third to Cadeau Belle in a listed race.

She had also narrowly lost out at the same level over course and distance last August and seems to tick all the boxes here.

The handicaps on the card look very tricky but Machnamh may be one worth following in the fillies handicap.

She opened her account in rain softened ground at the Curragh last time and remains on the same mark now for her handicap debut.

Trainer Jim Bolger felt there was still improvement to come from the Teofilo filly and even talked about the possibility of getting black-type at some stage.
