Joseph O’Brien has a strong hand in the Naas Oaks Trial on Wednesday evening and Maxux gets the vote in the Listed contest.

The daughter of Frankel looked like she could be a stakes performer when making an impressive debut at Gowran Park just 10 days ago.

She quickened up in some style then to post a cosy four-and-three-parts-of-a-length win over stablemate Sandy Creek.

That looked a very good effort on paper as the runner-up came into the race off the back of solid placed efforts.

Her win came over just half-a- furlong shorter than this and the slight step up in trip on a stiffer track could bring more improvement.

The way she finished off her race on debut would suggest stamina is her forte.

Her brother Cunco, who was Frankel’s first ever winner on the racecourse, was a Group Three winner and she looks up to that kind of standard as well.

O’Brien saddles three in the race and the danger could be one of her stablemates, Shamwari.

The Justify filly is still a maiden but ran a big race at this level last time when chasing home Tower Of London at Leopardstown.

That form got a boost at Down Royal on Saturday with the winner following up in good style in the Ulster Derby.

Aidan O’Brien also runs three in the 10-furlong contest and the best of them is probably Library.

The Galileo filly was a solid enough fourth behind Rosscarbery in the Munster Oaks last time and is entitled to be thereabouts again.

There are four maidens on the eight-race card and Asean can give Donnacha O’Brien another two-year-old winner in the opener.

She stepped forward nicely from her first run to finish third at Navan 17 days ago and that form looks good now after the winner Pearls And Rubies was narrowly denied in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot last week.

Asean can put her experience to good use now in this five-furlong fillies’ event.

The highly-rated Eternal Silence can bag an important maiden victory in the mile event for fillies later on the card.

She was beaten favourite on her last outing at Leopardstown when failing to peg back Bella Blue Eyes.

Going back up to a mile now should suit her and the War Front filly, who was Group One placed as a two-year-old, can prove a class act.
