ST PATRICK’S, LISBURN: To mark world suicide prevention day today, the club has developed a new wellbeing section of its website - www.stpatsgac.com/wellbeing-hub

The club has also created a ‘crisis card’, which they are distributing to their members. These can be discreetly carried by a person and contain information should a person experience a crisis and require assistance or support.

ERIN’S OWN, CARGIN: The club is hosting a drive-in bingo on Saturday, starting at the football grounds at 5pm, with £3,900 prize money up for grabs. A double book costs £20, single book £10 and flyover £5.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: For those interested in joining the Slimming World class, contact Leanne McLaughlin on 078420 64418 to book a class. Booking is essential due to Covid Regulations.

Elsewhere, the Down County Board’s PR committee is producing a visual record of the history of Down GAA and its clubs. They want all 46 clubs within the county to play a part in this production.

The club is encouraging our members, past and present, to come forward with their ideas of what that moment might be. It could be a championship win, a league triumph, a cultural success, a memorable event, a county-linked accolade or a stand-out memory - you decide.

Get in touch with Mary Boyle on 07855 378372 or mrsmaryboyle@hotmail.co.uk, with the aim to have all ideas gathered by tomorrow before a shortlist is put to a vote.

KEVIN BARRY’S, DERRYLAUGHAN: The Washingbay Green Run 2020 fundraiser has moved to October 31, with online registrations still valid for the revised date. For further information on the 5K walk/run, 10K run and half-marathon, or the revised arrangements, visit www.wbaygreenrun.com or contact Brendan Quinn on 07784 516133.

Also, the 75th anniversary gala dinner that was due to be held at the Armagh City Hotel on October 31, in conjunction with the grand fundraising draw for £20,000, has been postponed until October 23 2021.

GLASDRUMMAN: Gaelic4Mothers and Others training continues every Tuesday from 7-8pm. Everyone welcome.

BALLYMARTIN: The club is currently in the process of making a commemorative DVD to celebrate its centenary in 2022. We are calling on all past and present club members to contact us and share any old or recent photos and particularly video footage they might have.

It can be from a match, a club event or fundraiser, a sports day - anything at all. Much the same way the ‘Down Memory Lane’ night was such a success, this can only work if everyone contributes. Also, if there are any members or former players who would be interested in sharing a few old stories etc for the DVD, please contact any member of the committee.
