Manager status

LIAM Bradley remains the manager until otherwise informed. Both Frank Fitzsimons (above), U21 boss and part of 'Baker's' backroom, and Armagh's ex-All-Ireland winner Aidan O'Rourke were interviewed separately for the post over the past fortnight. But ambitious QUB development officer O'Rourke was yesterday informed that he had been unsuccessful. Bradley had stated earlier in the summer he would not be open to joining an interview process to pitch for a role he already held, should others be nominated for his job.

It remains uncertain whether Bradley will be afforded the courtesy of building on this year's Championship win with a sixth year in seven. Former Monaghan and Meath boss Seamus McEnaney has also been linked. Yet 'Banty' told the Irish News he would not disrespect Bradley by allowing his name to go forward while the Glenullin man holds the reins.
