Rules conflict is 'mad': Flynn

DUBLIN ace Paul Flynn is not impressed with the club versus country debate that has dominated the Ireland-Australia International rules game in recent weeks, and the Fingallians clubman believes Gaa officials must shoulder the blame.

Flynn is one of three Dublin players who are likely to feature in Saturday's First Test with the aussies at Kingspan Breffni Park, while Michael Murphy, Ciaran McKeever, Chrissy McKaigue, Darran O'Sullivan, Colm Cooper, among others, have faced fixture dilemmas as their clubs are still preparing for crucial championship fixtures. "It's amazing that lads can't go because of club. It's mad the way the Gaa is run. For me it's a great experience and it's the prestige that goes with it."
