Clubs set sights on Ulster final

The NWP Recycling Ulster Club Championships continue tomorrow with action from the intermediate and junior sections.

In the intermediate championship, Tullysaran and Liatroim Fontenoys will face off in the last of the round-robin games for the chance to take on Eglish in the final.

Down side Liatroim will look to their experienced players including Lisa McCrickard, Kelly O'Higgins and Emma McCormack.

Tullysaran will hope that the sharpshooting Colette McSorely, Siobhan Mackle and captain Dervla Mallon all have big performances as they aim to reach an Ulster final.

The junior championship also heats up with the semi-finals taking place; in the first of the games Crosserlough will face Bredagh.

While, Banagher and St John's will battle it out in the other semi, with both games promising to be thrilling encounters.

Newly-crowned Derry intermediate champions Banagher came through as comfortable winners over Cullyhanna last weekend.

The Banagher defence, led by Shauna Murphy and Caoimhe Lynch, will have to be at their best when they come up against Aishling Jackson and Niamh Adams. Jackson was impressive when her side overcame Ballycastle in the Antrim final, while Meadhbh Laverty will hope to drive the Belfast side forward from midfield but Banagher captain Jacinta O'Kane is more than capable of dropping back to cover in defence to snuff out any danger.

Andrena O'Kane, Adelle Hasson and Shannon O'Connor will provide a threat to the St John's backline.

But full-back Eimear Grieve has been solid this season for the Belfast side and their captain Helen Wilson leads her defence well from centre back.
