Blues booed off

LINFIELD and manager Warren Feeney were booed off the pitch by their own fans after throwing away a 2-0 lead in their 4-2 defeat to Crusaders in last night's Toals Bookmakers Co Antrim Shield quarter-final.

The Blues looked to be in control when Sammy Morrow and Andrew Waterworth gave them a two-goal lead before Jordan Owens pulled one back before the break.

Declan Caddell (two) and Gavin Whyte sealed the win for Crusaders with second half strikes. Underdogs Bangor shocked Glentoran with a 2-1 win at the Oval, while Newington YC were unable to cause an upset against Ards as Niall Currie's men progressed to the last four after a deserved 2-0 win.
