EVENT company Born2Run has announced details of the third annual Dambusters race which will take place on August 30 2014 in the Silent valley, Co Down. This year Born2Run will have half-marathon and 10K options with both races now open for registration. The half-marathon will also be the final race in the Pure Running Half Marathon Series. There is also a 10K walk available for the less adventurous.
Although the Silent valley is surrounded by the majestic Mourne Mountains, the half- marathon and 10k routes are in the valley itself (not over the mountains) and manageable by runners of all abilities. An early bird offer of a reduced fee is open until July 30. Entries are also being taken for the Sea2Sky races in Newcastle on Friday, July 18. See www.born2runevents.com
