BORIS Johnson last night received a rapturous reception as he arrived at a DUP event at the Conservative party conference alongside Arlene Foster.
The British Prime Minister was greeted with chants of 'Boris, Boris' as he walked onto the stage at the event in Manchester. Shouts of 'no surrender' were also reported to have been heard from the crowds.
DUP MP Nigel Dodds told Mr Johnson that "you deserve and have our support" as he welcomed him to the DUP fringe event.
Mr Dodds said everyone should "admire and applaud" the Prime Minister for the "clarity" he’s brought to Brexit, while Mrs Foster told the crowds that "people want to get a Brexit deal done".

"No deal is not a final destination but I know not everyone in this room will agree with us but in terms of Northern Ireland we want to focus on a deal," she said.
Flanked by DUP leader, Mr Johnson thanked the party for working to "get a new deal and a better way out of the EU".
Boris Johnson celebrated having made "huge progress" on a Brexit deal and said he hopes to "get there" in the "next few days".
"I'm not going to pretend this is going to be easy, this is not a walk in the park," he said.
"But we have made huge progress and I hope very much that in the course of the next few days we are going to get there."
