THE Audit Office has voiced concern over the way PSNI performance is assessed.
In a report published today, the watchdog issued a "qualified" opinion on the 2013-14 policing plan because "only limited progress has been made in developing meaningful performance targets" since it highlighted similar concerns last year.
However, comptroller and auditor general Kieran Donnelly welcomed assurances from the Policing Board and PSNI that more specific "targets will be included in the 2014-15 policing plan".
