DEPARTMENT store group Menarys has opened its 20th branch, a 4,000 sq ft store at Coleman's garden centre in Templepatrick.

It's the third new store the long-established fashion and homewares chain has opened in the past six months, adding to outlets in Enniskillen and Ballymena.

In recent years the family-owned Menarys, which began in 1923 in Dungannon, has grown the business on the back of a strong merchandise mix and excellent customer care

Menarys managing director Stephen McCammon said: “We’ve been impressed with the retail offering the team at Coleman's has pulled together.

“This is our first garden centre branch and we will bring a mix of great brands, fantastic value and authentic customer care, offering a mix of product to suit the garden centre environment which will include cookshop, homewares, accessories and gifts along with a select offering of ladieswear.”

The Coleman's store - which last month completed a £5m refurbishment and extension which has doubled its workforce from 50 to 100 - is already home to a number of concessions including Regatta, Stellar & Judge, Tipperary Crystal, David Jones and Powder.
