Michelle Obama has gained a lot of attention in the past week since the Democrats lost the US election – especially from those who believe she should run herself.
The First Lady, or @FLOTUS as her Twitter handle dubs her, has tended to keep roundly quiet when asked about her intention to run in the next presidential elections in 2020, or laugh off the question altogether.
But that hasn’t stopped fans making request after request for her to do so.
I hope Michelle Obama runs for president one day and wins first female president of this country. I'd be first in line to vote. @FLOTUS

In fact, the idea has proved so popular, some are calling for her role to extend beyond mere president of the United States to something much larger, with Aliyuh Doughkneevan tweeting: “Don’t make Michelle Obama president of the USA, make her president of the world.”
Michelle, could you please run for president in 2020 and save the world? Gonna cry for the next 4 years straight now. Help! @FLOTUS

Why doesn't @FLOTUS run for #president? She'd win by 80% of the votes. #landslide #elections #michelleobama

Although there are no indications that she has any intention of running, Obama would be the first female president if she won, although she now wouldn’t be the first president to be elected without any prior experience in elected office.
I'm really sad that the Obama's will no longer be our first family. I hope one day very soon @FLOTUS runs for president.
