Coronavirus: No deaths in Republic, six confirmed cases

Six more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland and there have been no further deaths.

The death toll in the Republic for people who have tested positive stands at 1,753 while there are now 25,766 confirmed cases.

In Northern Ireland no further deaths were recorded over the weekend, but 23 people did test positive.

Meanwhile, Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill believes the north must  act to protect against travellers from Britain spreading coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

British visitors are expected to quarantine for 14 days when they arrive in the Republic of Ireland, but not in Northern Ireland. Read more
