A man shot dead in an underground car park in Dublin's north inner city is suspected of being the latest victim of a gangland feud.
The man's body was discovered in a Volkswagen car in the basement of the Sheridan Court flats complex on Dorset Street Upper at about 9.55am on Wednesday.
It is believed he may have been dead for some time when a council worker came across the scene and raised the alarm.
He had suffered a number of gunshot wounds.
Emergency services were called out but the victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
It is thought he is the latest casualty in a bloody fall-out between the Kinahan cartel and the Hutch faction.
Investigating officers have revealed another car was found on fire in a lane off nearby Clonliffe Avenue in Drumcondra at about 7.55am.
The grey Opel Astra was fitted with false number plates with registration 12 D 16387.
It is believed this car, which was stolen in Dublin in April, is connected to the latest fatal shooting.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses, particularly taxi drivers or other motorists who may have camera recording equipment mounted on their dashboards, to come forward.
So far, 11 people have been killed in the ongoing row between the Kinahan and Hutch gangs, two of them victims of mistaken identity.
There had been no feud-related murders so far this year.
