Five names are now in the hat to contest the assembly election in Fermanagh-South Tyrone for Sinn Féin.

The party had selected three candidates before Christmas in a move that saw sitting MLA Phil Flanagan deselected.

The three were former MP Michelle Gildernew, sitting MLA Sean Lynch and councillor Sean Feeley.

Sinn Fein won three seats at the last assembly poll.

However, it emerged last week that Mr Flanagan is back in the frame after Sinn Féin's Ard Chomhairle ordered a re-run of the selection process.

Now added to the list is Bronwyn McGahan, another sitting MLA who had announced she would not be seeking re-election ahead of the first selection convention.

Sinn Féin party officers will meet again tomorrow night to choose their three candidates to contest Fermanagh-South Tyrone in May.
