A road has reopened in Co Antrim after it was closed by police following a "medical incident" on Tuesday.

Emergency services including the charity Air Ambulance were called to the Newtownards Road in Greyabbey at around 7.30am on Tuesday.

Police urged motorists to avoid the area, while a spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service said it despatched "one emergency crew, an ambulance officer and the charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board to the incident".

"No patients were taken from the scene," the spokesperson added.

A PSNI spokesperson said later on Tuesday afternoon that the road had reopened to motorists.
