A 33-year-old man has been arrested after suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £80,000 was recovered on the outskirts of east Belfast.

Officers from the multi-agency Paramilitary Crime Task Force carried out a search of a property in the Dundonald area on Monday.

A quantity of suspected Class B drugs was also recovered and taken away for examination, along with suspected drugs paraphernalia and a sum of cash.

The 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and remained in police custody on Monday evening.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "I would encourage anyone who has any information about the use or supply of illegal drugs to contact us on 101.”
