POLICE in Derry have arrested two men as part of an investigation into violent dissident republican activity.
The men, aged 36 and 39, were detained on Tuesday under the Terrorism Act.
The arrests came as members of the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit carried out planned searches in the Ballymagroarty area of the city.
The two men were taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in Belfast for questioning, where they remained on Tuesday evening.
