Police have this morning arrested a woman as part of an investigation into a fertility clinic on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast.

The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud.

She remains in custody at this time.

The latest arrest comes after three women were held and interviewed over the weekend in relation to conspiracy to defraud offenses by police investigating the clinic.

The women, aged 32, 33 and 47 were bailed to allow for further investigation after assisting officers with their enquiries.
