Christmas babies bring comfort and joy

THERE were additional tidings of comfort and joy in hospitals across the north on Christmas Day with a number of festive newborns.

While most people were at home enjoying some quiet seasonal relaxation, maternity wards remained a hive of activity with Christmas babies making the perfect present for proud parents.

At Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital, Stacy Jordan And Curtis Moore welcomed their new daughter into the world at 01.43 on Christmas morning, while a short distance away, some 90 minutes later Stacy Rooney from Lisburn gave birth to a baby girl.

Also in the Royal Gerald Og Clarke was born at 3.58am, weighing 6lb 13oz.
