Alliance's Sorcha Eastwood praises hospital staff following care she received for pneumonia

ALLIANCE Party assembly member Sorcha Eastwood last night praised hospital staff following care she received after taking ill with pneumonia.

Ms Eastwood posted her thanks on social media to the out-of-hours healthcare team at Lagan Valley Hospital.

"I am sicker than I thought (pneumonia) but thankfully my mum (once a nurse, always a nurse..) didn't like the sound of my chest & told me to go," she wrote on Twitter.

"Very grateful for (South Eastern Trust) team, particularly Dave. thank you."

The Alliance MLA, who represents the Lagan Valley constituency, also shared a photograph of tea and toast alongside an inhaler after she returned home from hospital.

She received messages of support following her Twitter post, including from UUP's Robbie Butler, the DUP’s Paul Givan and former First Minister Arlene Foster.
