DUP Education Minister Michelle McIlveen yesterday visited an Irish language school in west Belfast and opened a new primary school in the north of the city.

She officially unveiled the 21-classroom £8.3 million St Patrick's Primary School in New Lodge, which was formed following the amalgamation of Edmund Rice Christian Brothers and Star of the Sea primary schools.

She later traveled to Bunscoil Phobal Feirste, where she met principal Séamus O Tuama and representatives of the student council during her visit to the west Belfast school.
