Two teenagers arrested on Wednesday in connection with throwing a petrol bomb at a property in Co Derry have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The 17 and 18-year-olds were arrested after a petrol bomb was thrown at a property in Coleraine.

Police received a report that it was thrown at the front door of the property on Laurel Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday.

The occupant managed to kick the petrol bomb away, however, the door was badly damaged.

There were no reports of any injuries, and the item was taken away from the scene for further examination.
