Lucky escape for driver after vehicle flips onto its roof during east Belfast collision

A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a vehicle flipped onto its roof during a collision in east Belfast.

Police said there were no reports of injuries following the single-vehicle crash on the Castlereagh Road on Monday at around 5.50pm.

A traffic bollard and set of traffic lights were knocked over in the collision, that saw the hatchback car flipped upside down close to the junction with Montgomery Road.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "There are no reports of any injuries".

A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service said a rapid response paramedic assessed the scene but no-one was taken to hospital.
