THE author of a book that Noah Donohoe was carrying in his backpack when he went missing has spoken with police.

A representative for Canadian psychologist Jordan B Peterson confirmed the contact with the PSNI, the Sunday Independent reported yesterday.

It said Toronto officers, on behalf of the PSNI, visited his home last August and again in January of this year.

There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by the author.

Noah's body was found in a storm drain in north Belfast last June, six days after going missing.

Mr Peterson's self-help book 12 Rules For Life, was found in the 14-year-old's backpack.

It has been reported that detectives discovered a direct Instagram message sent on the day the teenager went missing purporting to come from the psychologist.

However, a representative for the psychologist told the Sunday Independent "there have been no communication between Noah and Jordan. There are many JBP impersonator accounts, it's likely that the messages have come from elsewhere".

The spokesman confirmed Mr Peterson had been in contact with the PSNI.

"We have fully co-operated with police," he said.

"There is no further detail that I can provide to you on this matter, other than that Jordan did not communicate with Noah, and that we co-operated with the PSNI."

The PSNI said yesterday: "The disappearance and death of Noah Donohoe remains a coronial investigation, as such, any enquiries regarding that investigation should be directed to the coroner’s office".
