A SECOND teenage boy has been released on bail following an assault on a couple in Co Antrim earlier this month.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested yesterday morning and was later bailed pending further enquiries.

Another 15-year-old boy was arrested earlier this month but was later released on bail.

A man and woman were punched and kicked by a gang of youths as they walked along Paradise Avenue in Ballymena at around 9.50pm on January 2.

The pair were treated in hospital for head and face injuries.

Police are treating the attack as a potential hate crime.

The PSNI has asked anyone with information about the attack to contact them on 101.
