Man charged after December 2019 cannabis factory raid

A 49-YEAR-OLD man is facing a number charges relating to the discovery of a "substantial cannabis factory" in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim last year.

Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force found an undisclosed quantity of plants during a search in December.

The man was yesterday charged with criminal damage, cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday September 17.
