A west Belfast GAA club has been forced to shut temporarily after a senior female player contracted coronavirus.

Lámh Dhearg announced today the footballer had tested positive.

The club said it was in contact with the Public Health Agency and the GAA.

"As such the club will be closed until further notice and all club activities will be suspended," the club said.

"We are currently liaising closely with the PHA and the GAA.

It added: "We also wish our player a speedy recovery and thanking you for your anticipated support."
