Coronavirus: No further deaths and nine new cases in Northern Ireland

Another nine people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, the Department of Health said.

There were no new deaths. The toll remains at 556.

A total of 16 clusters linked to 133 cases have been identified in the north since May 24 through the Public Health Agency’s (PHA) contact tracing programme.

A potential cluster of coronavirus cases has been identified in Ballymena with health officials "monitoring" developments.

The PHA yesterday confirmed it is "aware of a number of cases in the Ballymena area that may be associated with a cluster".
