LOYALIST bonfire builders have created a giant tribute to NHS staff out of wooden pallets.
Eleventh night bonfires have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The NHS tribute, which is around the size of a two-storey house, has been erected on the site where the annual bonfire in the Corcrain housing estate in Portadown usually stands.
It is understood that it will not be set alight, however.
In a statement, a Loyalist Corcrain Redmanville Bonfire spokesman said: "This is our respect to the NHS. The bonfire is not happening this year due to the ongoing pandemic so we built this instead.
"For those who say they just throw it up, there is nothing to building a bonfire, it's just throwing wood - well we say, come build this.
"No dumping, No drinking, No gathering, It won't be burnt. Maintain social distancing at all times."

Meanwhile, in another tribute to frontline health workers, a post box on Falls Road outside the Royal Victoria Hospital that was painted blue last week has now been stencilled "Thank You NHS".
