Pensioner among three charged after drug raids

Three men, including one in his seventies, have been charged following drug raids in Belfast.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force found a significant quantity of controlled drugs following searches in east Belfast and Newtownards.

A 44-year-old man has been charged with possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and two further counts of possession of class B drugs.

A 48-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possession of class B drugs and two further counts of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

The men are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on January 9.
