FORMER Stormont justice minister Claire Sugden took a break from politics at the weekend to tie the knot.

The 32-year-old, who represents East Derry as an independent unionist MLA, married her partner Andrew Anderson at Mussenden Temple near Castlerock.

Family and friends who gathered for the ceremony were treated to ice cream in the sunshine afterwards.

Following the service, Claire and Andrew travelled by helicopter to their reception at Drennagh Country Estate in Limavady.

The assembly member, who is from Castlerock, served as Minister of Justice in the Northern Ireland Executive from May 2016 to March 2017.
