Q RADIO has launched its inaugural Radiothon - a three day on-air fundraiser for four of Northern Ireland's leading cancer and end of life charities.

The event will take place from May 31 until June 2 with Action Cancer, Friends of the Cancer Centre, Marie Curie and Cancer Fund for Children selected as the beneficiaries of all money raised.

Over the three days, programmes will be broadcast live from a purpose-built studio at Friends of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital and the other charity headquarters.

Helping to launch the Radiothon were chefs Ian Orr and Michael Deane, both of whom have pledged their support to The Big Brunch - a flagship fundraising campaign in the lead up to the Q Radiothon three-day live appeal.
