A 34-YEAR-OLD man is to appear in court tomorrow charged with the murder of loyalist Colin Horner.

Mr Horner (35) was shot dead in the car park of Sainsbury's supermarket in Bangor in front of his three-year-old son on May 28.

Originally from Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, he was a close friend of former UDA commander Geordie Gilmore - who was also shot dead in Carrickfergus in March of this year.

The 34-year-old man, who is to appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court, has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Two other people have already been charged in connection with Mr Horner's murder.
