NEW CCTV footage and images of missing 22-year-old Dean McIlwaine have been released by police.

Mr McIlwaine, from Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, went missing on July 13 - a day after the death of his grandfather.

Police said he was last seen on Carnmoney Road in Newtownabbey shortly before 1pm.

He is described as 5'8", of medium build, with blue eyes, dark hair and a beard. He also has tattoos covering both arms.

Detective Inspector Chris Millar said: "It has now been established that Dean was wearing a short sleeve maroon shirt, denim knee length shorts and dark coloured canvas shoes".

"He was wearing a gold watch on his right wrist," he said.

Police are continuing to search the area and have appealed to Mr McIlwaine, or anyone who knows where he is, to contact police on 101.

Thefootage was released a day after Mr McIlwaine's friends and family held a widespread search for him in Belfast on Monday evening.
