Three men are being questioned by police following a serious assault in north Belfast that left one man needing hospital treatment.

Police were called to a house in the Skegoniell Avenue in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, March 4) after reports of a serious incident.

The injured male was taken to hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Three men in their 20s arrested at the scene are currently undergoing questioning.

Detective Sergeant Keith Wilson said: “Anyone who has information about this incident should contact police at Musgrave station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 203 of 4/3/17.



“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
