TRADITIONAL craftsmen, artists and designers are to showcase their skills at Craft Fest, held at the National Trust’s stunning Castle Ward demesne this weekend.
The event will see craft demonstrations, unusual crafts and a special treat for Jazz enthusiasts on Sunday afternoon with a performance by the Martello Jazz Band.
Craft Fest runs from 10.30am to 5.30pm on Saturday August 13 and Sunday August 14. There will be exhibitions of ceramics, glass jewellery, mixed media, textile and wood, as well as a special exhibition of selected one-off pieces of Applied Art and Design by some of Ireland’s leading artists, designers and craftspeople.
The National Trust also encourages visitors to explore the 820 acre Castle Ward demesne as well as the on-site gift shop, second-hand bookshop and tearoom.
