THE remains of a burnt out car have been found in a park in south Belfast.
The vehicle was spotted by a member of the public in Ormeau Park on Wednesday.
It remained unclear last night how the car came to be abandoned with the shell of the vehicle found among trees within the park.
The Fire and Rescue Service said it had received no reports of a car being on fire in the park and had not attended the scene.
Police also said they had received no reports of a burnt out car in the park.
Belfast City Council, which has responsibility for the park, said no one had reported the car to council officials.
