POLICE are investigating claims that an unknown man threw hundreds of pounds around a Derry shopping centre.
Shoppers watched as the man threw £10 and £20 notes into the air at Derry’s Foyleside shopping centre at around 4.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The man also threw notes from an upper floor at the centre. It is believed up to £400 was given away.
It was claimed the man handed over a further £500 to a family who just happened to be passing by.
It is not yet known why the man gave away the money.
