FOUR men, two armed with guns, entered a house on Donegall Avenue early this morning and threatened the householders.

Police received a report shortly after 3.30am that the men entered the house and claimed to be from a paramilitary organisation

The men, who were wearing balaclavas, dark clothing and jeans, threatened the householders before leaving.

Detective Inspector Mary White said that the men all spoke with local accents and that police believe one may have been armed with a barbell.

“We are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident to contact detectives on 101," she said.
