Roads remain closed following collision in Co Down

Roads in Ballynahinch and Seaforde remain closed to motorists

The A5 Curr Road has been closed following a crash on Tuesday.
Roads in Ballynahinch town centre were closed on Monday following a crash.

Roads remain closed in Co Down following a serious crash on Monday.

Church Street in Ballynahinch was closed to traffic following a collision on Monday afternoon. The junction of Harmony Road and Windmill Street also remained closed on Monday evening, along with Church Road, Dromore Road and Dromore Street.

The A24 Newcastle Road in Seaforde also remained closed.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Motorists should seek alternative main routes for their journey.”

Sinn Féin South Down MLA Cathy Mason said in a social media post: “I have been made aware of a serious road traffic incident that has occurred in the Ballynahinch area.



“There are a number of road closures in place in Ballynahinch and towards Drumaness & Seaforde. Please avoid the area.
