Man receives minor injuries after shots fired at Co Down home

Police at the scene Detectives as shots have  fired at a house in the Wright's Park area of Rathfriland in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 5th March.

Detective Sergeant Wilson said: "Police received a report that two shots had been fired through the front window of a residential property at around 12.35am, causing minor injuries to a man who was in the living room at the time.

A man sustained minor injuries after shots were fired into a house in Co Down.

The man was in the living room of his Rathfriland home when two shots were fired through the front window shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

Three other adults were also in the house in the Wright’s Park area at the time of the attack but were not injured.

Police have appealed to witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the street to contact them.

The nature of the man’s injuries have not been disclosed but it is understood that he did not require hospital treatment.
