Man charged with drugs offences in East Belfast UVF probe

Accused is due to appear in court on May 29

A 42-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences by police investigating the activities of the East Belfast UVF.

PSNI detectives from the multi-agency Paramilitary Crime Task Force arrested the man following a search of a house in the Finmore Court area of the city on Saturday.

He has been charged with possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of a Class B drug, and possession of criminal property, and is dur to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on May 29.



All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
