PEOPLE furloughed, made redundant or who had their employment opportunities affected by Covid-19 are being offered the chance to reskill.

South Eastern Regional College's Skills Intervention Programme, which is funded by the Department for Economy, offers the opportunity for candidates to gain a CMI Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.

The eight-week Future Leaders course will begin on February 1 and is open to all graduates.

Debbie Scott, Business Services Consultant at SERC said: "Covid-19 has presented many challenges to the business community and it is vital those employees who have been furloughed or have been

made redundant are supported.

"Delivered online by SERC, this course focuses on upskilling and reskilling in management and leadership. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone to fast track and pick up a highly sought Level 5 qualification.

"This fully-funded training will help prepare candidates for the return to their current employment or facilitate a move to new employment – both options are necessary to rebuild the Northern Ireland economy."
