Tributes paid to Co Fermanagh woman killed in road crash

FAMILY and friends of a Co Fermanagh woman killed in a road crash have described how she was a devoted mother.

Tributes have been paid to Natasha Carruthers (23), who was killed in a one car collision in Derrylin on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old from the Letterbreen area was the mother of a one-year-old daughter.

The crash happened on the Newbridge Road between Lisnaskea from Derrylin shortly before midnight. A woman and a man, whp were also in the car and understood to be in their 20s, were also injured and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Friends of Ms Carruthers gathered at the scene of the tragedy on Sunday to place flowers and to pay their respects.

Rev Canon Ian Ellis, rector of Rossorry Parish Church, Enniskillen, told how the family were left shocked following the tragic crash.

Family and friends have also described their devastation on social media.

Her cousin Diane Doogan wrote of how she "can't believe you have been taken from us Tasha".

"You loved your little woman and she'll grow to know you did and how precious she has a beautiful angel to watch over her," she said.

"I cannot believe how you've been suddenly taken everyone is shock, it's not fair and life is cruel.

"I hope your looking down on us all this morning to know how loved you were and I hope your in a happy place. Rest in peace."

Another friend said: "Tasha will be greatly missed by us she was nuts at times but she was ours".
