A WOMAN is being treated in hospital after she was attacked by a number of masked men in Derry.
The gang forced their way into a house in the Gobnascale area of the city’s Waterside around 10am on Tuesday before assaulting the victim. The woman was treated at Altnagelvin hospital for serious but not lift-threatening injuries.
PSNI chief inspector Ivor Morton said police are still trying to establish a motive for the attack.
He said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw men going to or coming from the house between 9.30am and 10.30am.”
