O2 urged to 'sort it out' after customers lose service

PEOPLE across the north complained of problems with phone provider O2's service last night, with British business secretary Sajid Javid urging the company to "sort it out". People in parts of the north, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow and London all reported problems.

Mr Javid tweeted "No signal O2. Please sort it out" as annoyed customers went online last night to claim they had no service for more than five hours.

The phone provider, which had suggested that people turn their phones off and on again, said they were aware of "some issues" and "isolated instances".

In a series of tweets O2 told customers: "We're working flat out (and upright too) to get these fixed. "Sorry for the problems" and "Sorry for all the effort you've had to put in Ems. "We're making sure our engineers put in even more to fix the problems."
