GAA School Coaching Days

ST MALACHY'S PS Kilclief was the final school to participate in the Irish News/O'Neill's school coaching day. The lucky winners brought the whole school along to Inverbrena Hall in Strangford where the St Mary's University College P.E. students delivered two coaching sessions to the eager pupils. A special guest turned up during the activities in the shape of the Christy Ring Cup recently won by Down hurlers, accompanied by manager Gerard Monan along with player and ex-pupil Fintan Conway, to the delight of staff and children. Irish News Marketing Manager John Brolly said: "I would like to thank again O'Neills sportswear and St Mary's University College for their support in ensuring we are able to deliver these coaching sessions that were designed to show children that sport can be a lot of fun with everyone taking part."
