Costello the main attraction at Venue

SINGER songwriter Elvis Costello is set to perform this Thursday at the Venue in Ebrington. Costello will bring his stage show complete with backing band The Imposters to Ebrington in one of three Irish appearances. Regarded as one of the most influential singer/songwriters of all time. He penned classic tracks like Alison and Oliver's Army. Costello has won numerous awards over more than 40 years in music.

He has been ranked as one of the top hundred artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. Culture Company spokesman, Graeme Farrow said the music icon's arrival in Derry was hugely anticipated. "We are delighted to welcome Elvis Costello to The Venue on 27 June. "It's been a long wait and I know that there are a lot of fans who are eagerly anticipating this concert. It's going to be a great night and for many it will be one of the highlights of the City of Culture year," he said.
