Businesses briefed on G8 summit

CO FERMANAGH households and businesses are to receive newsletters with information on likely disruption caused by the G8 summit.

A total of 32,000 newsletters have been printed at a cost of £2,960.

The 12-page newsletters provide advice on how to continue accessing local services during the conference at the Lough Erne Resort on June 17 and 18.

Fermanagh District Council chairman Thomas O'Reilly said residents should expect some disruption.

"While Co Fermanagh and Enniskillen is open for business during the period of the G8 Summit, people should expect some disruption with such a large number of people," he said.

"The newsletter is a useful resource for residents and businesses, helping people to make plans so they can, as far as possible, go about their normal business in the lead up to and during the G8 Summit."
